The founder built North Charleston Porta Pros on a simple rule: show up on time, leave the site cleaner than you found it, and treat every crew like they're the only customer that week. What began with five standard units has grown into a full-service operation because contractors and event planners talk. A residential renovation on a tight deadline led to a commercial construction account. A wedding with 200 guests led to a festival booking. We stay small enough to know your name and big enough to handle projects that need restroom trailers, dumpster rentals and temporary fencing all at once.
North Charleston's construction boom has kept us sharp. We've learned what works on new commercial sites, what costs matter on residential jobs, and how to move equipment fast when a disaster hits. OSHA 1926.51(c) sets toilet facility ratios based on worker count, 1 toilet for every 20 workers or fewer on construction sites, and we size fleets to meet those rules. What We Do
Portable toilets are the foundation. A standard unit holds 60 to 70 gallons and sits about 44 by 48 inches on the ground. We service them weekly under the baseline interval set by ANSI/PSAI Z4.3 for up to 10 users over a 40-hour week. ADA accessible models meet ADA Standards section 213.2, which requires at least 5 percent of clustered units, and never fewer than one, to be accessible. We position them on stable ground per ADA Standards section 302.1 to keep the floor slip-resistant.
Deluxe flushable rentals appeal to events where comfort matters: weddings, festivals, outdoor markets. Restroom trailers get deployed for multi-day projects and high-traffic events. North Charleston contractors use roll-off dumpsters for demolition and new construction; we haul concrete, wood, mixed debris and clean fill. Delivery needs roughly 60 feet of straight clearance behind the truck. Storage container rentals hold materials and tools between shifts. Temporary fencing keeps job sites safe and crowds controlled.
Septic pumping comes up constantly. A residential septic tank is typically pumped every 3 to 5 years, driven by tank size and household size. We handle grease trap pumping for restaurants: a grease interceptor is pumped when fats, oils, grease and solids reach 25 percent of the liquid depth. Handwashing stations are required on construction sites where employees apply paints, coatings, herbicides or insecticides per OSHA 1926.51(f)(1), and must include soap and towels or hand drying devices per 29 CFR 1910.141(d)(2).

Do portable toilets smell?
A properly serviced unit doesn't. We pump holding tanks, deodorize, clean the seat and lid, and restock supplies on every visit. Weekly service is standard.
What's the difference between standard and deluxe?
Standard units are basic. Deluxe models include a flushable toilet, sink, running water and a faucet. They cost more but feel like a real restroom.
